U Piscis Austrini

U Piscis Austrini was unclassified in the General Catalogue of Variable Stars (Kholopov 1985). Possible periods of 117 and 235 days had been attributed to the star.

The light curve consists of 643 positive visual observations made by me over the period 1996 to 2000. The shape, period, and amplitude of the light curve indicate that U PsA is an RR Lyrae type variable star with a period of 0.54187 day. A Paper was published here.

The visual and CCD measures are shown in Figures 1 and 2.

The visual measures subjected to a period search using Discrete Fourier Transformation (DFT) techniques.
